Brendan has over 30 years experience in the Diagnostics industry and became CEO of HiberGene Diagnostics in 2009, moving to Executive Chairman in 2012. From 1994 to 2008 Brendan was the President/CEO of Trinity Biotech plc., a NASDAQ listed diagnostics company. He was instrumental in growing the company from revenues of $3 million to $140 million and from loss making to sustained strong profitability. Mr. Farrell has extensive international experience in marketing and sales, licensing and acquisitions, fundraising, investor relations and general management.

Gill has a PhD in radiopharmaceutical chemistry and has worked since 1989 in the diagnostics industry, with 10 years based in North America. Gill’s expertise is in clinical trials, product registration and quality systems. She headed the global regulatory and clinical groups at Bayer Diagnostics for 5 years, and has held senior functional and executive management roles in SMEs, most recently as Chief Development Officer at Myconostica, a molecular diagnostics company.

Dave previously worked in investment banking with Bank of America’s healthcare team in London. Dave holds a first class honors bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Trinity College Dublin and an MSc. in Industrial Engineering & Management from Helsinki University of Technology. Dave graduated magna cum laude from the Sofaer International MBA program at Tel Aviv University, completing the MBA exchange program at Kellogg School of Management (Dean’s List). Dave is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.

David is an experienced Chartered Accountant & Head of Finance with 20 years experience. David was CFO & Company Secretary at MV Technology (MVT), and as part of the core management team grew the company to a mutinational organization, acquired by Agilent Technologies in 2001. Since then he has worked as a Financial Consultant & Non Exec. Director assisting start-ups and growth companies. David has considerable experience of fundraising, implementing financial systems and strategic analysis. David is a Business Studies graduate of Trinity College Dublin.

Marie has 20 years’ general management experience in the healthcare industry with particular experience in diagnostics and now operates as a consultant to the diagnostics and medical device industry. Ms. Rooney was Operations Manager with Trinity Biotech Plc, an Irish headquartered diagnostics company. Previously, Marie was an R&D scientist with Cambridge Diagnostics Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Inverness Medical Innovations inc. Marie is a graduate of the University of Limerick and holds a Masters degree in Project Management.

Renwick is a highly experienced and innovative analytical chemist with over a decade of experience working at the interface of spectroscopy and biomedicine. His work at Queen’s University of Belfast focused on the development and application of Raman spectroscopic methods in the analysis of biomedical issues. To date he has published the results of his extensive research in 24 peer reviewed internationally recognised scientific journals and at numerous international conferences.

Mark is the Inamori Professor of Biomaterials at Alfred University, NY state. Previously he was a research scholar at the University of Limerick, Ireland. He has been conducting research on biomaterials for 15 years and has worked as a brand manager for Advanced Healthcare in the UK. He has a PhD from Queen Mary College, University of London, and is a chartered engineer and chartered scientist.
