Supplemental Diagnostic
The BQT® test can be used in conjunction with Bone Mineral Density testing, to provide an important perspective on bone quality, bone strength and hip fracture risk.
Triage Tool
BQT® can be used as a triage tool to help stratify patients, particularly those who have difficulty in getting a DXA scan completed:
- Nursing home residents
- Disabled patients
- Time-sensitive, busy patients
Companion Diagnostic
BQT® may potentially be used as a companion diagnostic to:
- Enhance Patient Identification - BQT®’s superior fracture prediction capability can more accurately select those who would benefit from best-in-class drugs. This provides justification for physicians to prescribe higher performance but also higher cost drugs
- Monitor Drug Response - BQT® could act as a more accurate and frequent monitoring tool, reflecting changes in bone over periods of months rather than years.
